In 1992 Ha Tay Technical College accepted Ha Son Binh Agriculture Junior High School under decision no. 105/QĐ-UB, dated April 17th, 1992, by the Ha Tay People’s Committee.

In 2003 Ha Tay Community College (HTCC) was established under decision no. 5345/QD-BDG&DT, dated October 3rd, 2003, by the Ministry of Education and Training. At this time, the school came under the management of Ha Tay People’s Committee.

In 2009, Ha Tay Community College came under the management of Hanoi People’s Committee, under decision no. 3332/QD-UBND, dated July 6th, 2009, by Hanoi People’s Committee as a result of Hanoi’s administrative territory expansion (Ha Tay was merged into Hanoi in 2008).
